Biography
Jedd Audry, MD, is a fellowship-trained pain medicine specialist who is also board certified in psychiatry. He is a member of MyMichigan Health’s comprehensive Spine and Pain Program. According to Dr. Audry, he chose the field of medicine, and ultimately the intersection of psychiatry and pain medicine, because so many people with chronic pain are told to “just live with it.” “I wanted to bring both neuroscience and compassion to that moment, helping patients change not only what they feel, but how they function and live,” he added.
Philosophy of Care
“My care is based on person-first, safety-first, function-first,” he said. “I try to practice what I call “trait-informed care,” which means I tailor treatment to each patient’s personality, strengths and stress patterns. We start with setting clear goals like walking farther, sleeping better, or returning to work. Then we use expectation-framing to reduce fear and combine the right procedure with the right plan for movement, mindset and medications. All with shared decision-making.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Audry specializes in neuromodulation and spinal cord stimulation trials; radiofrequency ablation for vertebral facet and sacroiliac pain; peripheral nerve stimulation for focal neuropathic pain; ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic spine/peripheral injections; complex pain with co-occurring mood or personality traits; and return-to-function programs that pair procedures with precision rehab and behavioral strategies.
