Philosophy of Care
“I believe my role as a nurse practitioner is to help patients make the most of their health. Through active listening I can help them get to the basis of their health concerns and work together to optimize their health in a holistic fashion, focusing not only on their physical health but also their mental health.”
“I enjoy building a collaboration with my patients over time to meet their personal health goals and see the progression of their health. I want to have open communication with my patients where we are able to discuss their health concerns and talk through anything concerning I have noticed. I want them to feel comfortable coming to me with issues and talking about their personal health goals.”
“I enjoy seeing patients make positive changes to improve their health, whether it’s losing weight to potentially eliminate their need for hypertension or diabetic medications, improving their mental health with stress reduction activities, or getting better control on their breathing issues so they can enjoy activities they have in the past. If they are willing to put in the work, I’m happy to come alongside them and do what we can together to get them where they want to be.”
“I take the time to listen to my patients to determine what their concerns and goals are. I want to work with them to make the decisions that are best for them.”
“With the advances in technology, it is amazing the amount of medical information available at our fingertips and also the increased access to specialists when needs arise. This can help us in Primary Care make more educated decisions and provide patient with more information than ever before.”
As a lifelong Beaverton resident, Jenna is excited to be serving her own community. She enjoys traveling, being on the water, and spending time with extended family. She has a teenage son and younger daughter.
