School-Based Health Centers
Improved Learning through Improved Health
Our School-Based Health Centers provide services to students in Beaverton, Coleman, Harrison, Houghton Lake, and Roscommon primary care and behavioral health services to children ages 5 to 21 regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. They offer consistent, convenient, and carefree medical services-including everything from sports physicals and well-child visits to treatment of illness, injuries or chronic conditions to behavioral health therapy and health education. This approach helps to ensure the best care possible for the students-right in their school.
With state funding, the centers work to improve the health of students and reach out to provide services to medically underserved children.
The centers participate in Medicaid Outreach and can assist families in applying for and enrolling in Medicaid.
